in case you missed the memo, next Sunday is the Jeûne Fédéral i.e. Federal Day of Thanksgiving, Repentence, and Prayer (??) (lit. federal fast) which makes the following Monday a public holiday for us in the Canton of Vaud (which by the way derives from the old Germanic root Wald meaning ‘wood’, ‘forest’) and also in Neuchâtel in case any of you live there (which is more straightforwardly ‘new castle’) RANIMES will of course be making the most of this opportunity and if anyone wants to follow Vaudois tradition and make the customary tarte aux pruneaux for us that would be much appreciated I will lend you the use of my kitchen and ingredients Date: Mon, Sep 22 Time: 20:00 onwards Place: my flat, Rue des Glaciers 2, 1004 Lausanne Actione Itemse: - Tell me if you’re coming! - Tell me if you want to present! - Tell me if there’s someone(s) you think would enjoy this sort of thing and would like to bring along! Exit 8 – Mon, Sep 8, 20:45, Cinéma Bellevauxinspired by Eric’s presentation at the last RANIMES, some of us want to go watch Exit 8 at Cinéma Bellevaux, the Japanese movie adaptation of an absurdist horror “imsim” video game Cabaret – Sat, Sep 27, 20:00, Le Bilboquet, Fribourga friend of mine from choir is performing striptease in a cabaret alongside drag and circus artists in Fribourg.
